According to camcorderinfo.com ratings Panasonic PV-GS400 is “a great camcorder and, in my opinion, offers the best value of any camcorder I’ve ever reviewed.”. But Jeff Keller in dvspot review: Panasonic PV-GS400 clarifies “The GS400 is a fairly large camcorder, so try it out to make sure you’re willing to carry it around for a day.”
Panasonic PV-GS250 aka NV-GS250 seems to be one…
dvspot review: Panasonic PV-GS250 : …All-in-all we recommend the GS250 without hesitation…Whichever one you choose, though, you really can’t go wrong — we’ve been very pleased with all of Panasonic’s recent 3-chip camcorders…
camcorderinfo.com: Panasonic PV-GS250 Camcorder Review : …The PV-GS250 is a great camcorder, but the PV-GS400 is such an awsome camcorder that it might be a better idea to save $150 dollars more for the PV-GS400… But GS400 is heavier !!!

fear of permissiveness
Alfie Kohn on Incentives and Parenting (Aaron Swartz: The Weblog) : …‘The biggest problem is fear of permissiveness. For every one kid who is allowed to run around the store screaming — and believe me, they annoy me too — a hundred kids are slapped or yelled at or punished or rewarded.
