Yahoo Customer Survey and Case Numbers

I donot mind completing a brief online survey conducted by Satmetrix Systems on behalf of Yahoo!

But, only providing “Case number”, “Property” and “Close date” doesnot help.

Provide “Case Text” !

If one has requested help twice in the last days, how does one know what is the case being referred to !

Also, I get a mail on 4th June with close date 6th June…

What is the hurry ? Provide more time !

The Robot Co-op: Numeric milestones : …100,000 unique goals (with at least one person still on it), the 100,000th of which was to only check email twice a day…

Number of messages in the Draft Folder of Yahoo! Mail Plus

When composing a Yahoo! Mail, there is an option to “Save as a Draft”. I did it and the mail is in in the draft folder and is shown highlighted

But on the overview screen… no counter is displayed for the draft folder

It is important to see the count to know what mails are WIP

What is Yahoo! Mail Plus?

I have sent a mail to Yahoo! Customer Care… But am not sure how much they will care other than sending a customer satisfaction survey!

It would be nice if some one @ Yahoo! takes note of this and does something similar to some one @ Microsoft

Why does the second line not state “goto line 103” and states “goto around line 103” ? Maybe modifications are expected ! ?

Anyway, it would be better to state what the code should look like after the change !

ATTN: upcoming.org

In Singapore (India too), zipcodes are 6 characters long… Please extend zip code length to more than 5 characters…

Suggestion for the Bloglines Plumber

Bloglines : …I’m the Bloglines Plumber. Bloglines is down for a little fixer upper. We will be back at 9Pm Pacific Time, 5/14/05. Bloglines will be all better when I’m done with it…

“We will be back at 9Pm…” has changed to “We will be back shortly” has changed to “We will be back at 10Pm Pacific Time, 5/14/05.”

Question: Is it Pacific Standard Time or Pacific Standard Time ? ( Time zone abbreviations )

Suggestions…
1) Change text : Time is now 8pm (dynamic). Bloglines will be back at 9pm
2) Link the Pacific Time to a link where this time can be converted to a local time !
3) Fine. plumber is working… allow netizens to send email – enable the contact form during plumbing…
4) Lastly setup a temp mail list for _first timers_ and members to be notified when the site is back up !

Update on 2005-05-18 – help.microsoft.com is being redirected to http://support.microsoft.com/ – mmm… I definitely saw something funny the other day… should have written down somewhere !

Indian Railways Online

Indian Railways Online Passenger Reservation Site Providing Availability etc..

Trains between Metros is useful !

But 2 suggestions

1) Allow me to easily swap the pair and see the schedule : When I select pair Chennai & Madurai, I only see trains from Chennai to Madurai. If I want to check for the return journey… I have start again. Why not provide a single button to swap the stations and see the schedule

2) When I select a pair, provide an option to also see the reverse schedule

indianrail.gov.in : Feedback Form : IMPORTANT NOTE: IT act,2000 section-67 punishes the publishing and transmission of obscene material in electronic form with imprisonment of upto 5 years along with a fine of up to 1 lakh on first conviction and with imprisonment up to 10 years with a fine of upto Rs 2 lakh on second or subsequent conviction.

Oh! I will choose the words carefully !

If the site is polished… it will be a top class website – The indianrail.gov.in could be so much better and easily designed and easily to impress… I have given my first feedback and will wait for the response before sending more…

Some suggestions

1) it would be nice to see the following message !

treatment started at 10:53 CET and time is now 11:27 CET. The treatment is expected to last until 11:55 CET

2) i have seen websites collecting email address and inform when the site is back up! – in this way, you wow more visitors especially the first time grand ma visiting her first grand child 🙂

3) the permalink url title could be improved ! e.g., http://blog.flickr.com/flickrblog/2005/01/the_flickr_data.html title is FlickrBlog – This could be appended with the post title like “FlickrBlog: The Flickr database is at the spa.” > why: when bookmarking / blogging: title doesnot have to be changed…
