SAP – Press Release – SAP Expands Automotive Solution Set with Purchase of DCS Quantum Solution from DCS Automotive – Automotive Dealer Management System Will Help Dealers and OEMs Streamline Business Processes
WALLDORF, Germany – February 01, 2005 – SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) today announced that it has purchased DCS Quantum, a leading vehicle dealer management system, from DCS Automotive, a subsidiary of United Kingdom-based DCS Group PLC. DCS Quantum will be integrated into the SAP for Automotive industry solution set as SAP® Dealer Business Management, expanding SAP’s software offering in automotive sales and service.
Based on mySAP™ ERP, the solution is designed to enable vehicle importers, distributors, dealer groups and independent dealers to consolidate and improve sales and service processes and to achieve more effective collaboration. It will include capabilities for business management within dealerships, dealer organizations, importers and OEM-owned sales companies. In addition to core enterprise resource planning (ERP) processes for human resources, finance and controlling, it offers specific functionality for new and used vehicle sales, vehicle service and service parts management.
